Career Biography

Mr. Guillermo Gil Díaz is currently the chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary of Aerostar Airport Holdings, LLC, the public-private partnership which operates the SJU Airport, where he had formerly served as the Legal & Real Estate Director, managing and implementing the legal and aeronautical real estate strategies of the company. Mr. Gil Díaz is responsible for overseeing the organisation’s legal, risk, and litigation matters, as well as ensuring robust regulatory compliance across all operations. He plays a key role in corporate governance, guiding the organisation’s decision-making processes and maintaining ethical standards.

Previously, he held the position of General Counsel, Chief Compliance Officer and Corporate Secretary for Metropistas, one of the largest public-private partnerships on the Island and the single private toll road operator in Puerto Rico. As such, Mr. Gil Díaz was responsible for overseeing the organisation’s legal and compliance matters, as well as its corporate governance. Prior to that, Mr. Gil Diaz worked at Fiddler, Gonzalez & Rodriguez, PSC where he provided legal counsel on a broad range of topics including corporate law, taxes, financing, real estate, public private partnerships, torts and contracts, among others.
