How do you build and maintain strong relationships with key internal stakeholders, especially in high-pressure or fast-moving scenarios?
I believe availability is key. Our internal stakeholders need to have easy access to legal support, both regarding current problems and future projects. Therefore, we need to build a trust relationship that encourages them to reach for our support in critical scenarios. Additionally, it is useful to be proactive in non-critical periods and work with our internal stakeholders to mitigate risks in their current processes.
What measures has your company taken to embed sustainability practices into its core business operations, and how does the role of the general counsel contribute to driving and ensuring sustainable practices within the company?
Danper’s management model is based on the concept of “shared value”, and must be connected to the progress of our people, their families and their communities. This characteristic is reflected in every stage of our productive process, including the conditions given to our working team and their families, the international certifications obtained in ESG aspects, as well as the support given to farmers included in our supply chains. Regarding our financing, we have collaborated with financial entities which share our sustainable development approach and provide financing with social objectives.
