Career Biography
I am a seasoned Corporate and Commercial Lawyer with extensive experience in governance, compliance, and strategic transactions across highly regulated industries. Currently serving as General Counsel at Danone Nigeria (Fan Milk Ltd), I lead the company’s legal function, advising executive leadership on risk management, corporate governance, and sustainable growth strategies.
My career is defined by building resilient legal and compliance frameworks that not only mitigate risk but also enable strategic expansion. At Danone, I recently conducted comprehensive due diligence for a high-stakes minority buy-out, delivering actionable mitigation strategies that safeguarded business continuity. I also spearheaded the company’s B Corp Certification process, embedding sustainability and social impact into operations to position the organization as a responsible market leader.
I oversee end-to-end litigation management, regulatory correspondence, intellectual property protection, and enterprise-wide compliance. This includes driving adherence to antitrust, data privacy, whistleblowing, and integrity frameworks. By deploying Alternative Dispute Resolution mechanisms, I have consistently minimized exposure and reduced litigation costs.
My commercial acumen extends beyond legal risk management. I strengthened contract management and supported a major backward integration project that expanded dairy farming operations in Nigeria. Previously, at Transport Services Limited, I played a pivotal role in the successful issuance of a ₦12bn Series 1 Guaranteed Bond under a ₦50bn bond programme, coordinating transaction documentation, negotiations, and stakeholder engagement.
Across every endeavour, I remain dedicated to transforming the legal function into a value- adding business partner delivering commercially sound solutions that thrive within complex regulatory environments and advancing organizational resilience, sustainability, and growth.
