Career Biography
Edward Taibi is general counsel at Aquarian Holdings, a diversified global holding company, with a strategic portfolio of insurance and asset management solutions, providing investment opportunities for millions of people. Ed has more than 25 years of experience as a legal advisor and senior executive, guiding clients, companies and executives through complex, high-stakes transactions. Over his career, Ed has executed transactions totaling more than $30 billion and has overseen investments across regulated sectors including Asset Management and Insurance Holdings, Defense, Renewable and Nuclear Energy, Financial Technology, Marketing and Business Services, and Consumer Products.
Previously, Ed was a Partner at Olshan Frome Wolosky LLP, where he leveraged his transactional and operational expertise to advise clients on complex legal matters, acquisitions, public and private financings, and regulatory initiatives. Ed served for many years as Executive Vice President of MacAndrews & Forbes, a holding company with interests in a wide spectrum of industries. Ed was the General Counsel of Archaea Energy, a publicly-traded renewable energy company, where he helped facilitate the groundbreaking sale of the company. Following Archaea, Ed served as the General Counsel of Shine Technologies, a leading nuclear fusion technology company. Ed began his career as a corporate attorney at Skadden in New York and Milan. Ed earned his JD from The New York University School of Law and his BA from Rutgers University, graduating summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa.
