Veronica Rodriguez serves as the Executive Vice President, Deputy General Counsel & Assistant Corporate Secretary & Global Head of Corporate & Enterprise Functions at TelevisaUnivision. She is a core member of the company’s executive leadership team and serves as assistant secretary to the Board. Ms. Rodriguez joined the company during a pivotal moment, navigating a major strategic multi-billion dollar merger that resulted in the creation of TelevisaUnivision, now recognised as the world’s leading Spanish-language media and content company.
Before joining TU in 2021, Ms. Rodriguez was in private practice for over a decade as an Of Counsel in the corporate group at the law firm of Dewey & LeBouef LLP and Paul Hastings LLP, in the New York City offices.
Ms. Rodriguez earned her Juris Doctor from Hofstra University School of Law, where she served as an editor of The International Business Law Journal. She earned her Bachelor of Science, cum laude in Business Management from Rutgers University.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Ms. Rodriguez is deeply committed to leveraging diversity for the betterment of business and society. Ms. Rodriguez serves as Chair of the Latin American Subcommittee for the Cyrus R. Vance Center, which engages lawyers across borders to support an ethically active legal profession. She is also a member of the Cyrus R. Vance Center Women in the Profession Committee which promotes the advancement of women in the legal profession.
Ms. Rodriguez has been recognized in the Legal 500 Private Practice Powerlist as one of the leading M&A lawyers in the US with a specialist focus on Mexico in 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021. In addition, Veronica has been recognized by LatinVex as one of the top 100 female lawyers in the US practicing M&A in Latin America. Ms. Rodriguez has also been recognized in the Legal 500 Private Practice Powerlist as a Next Generation Partner in 2019 and a Rising Star in 2020. Ms. Rodriguez was also recognized by the Cyrus R. Vance Center for her outstanding contributions to the Women in the Profession program in 2023.
