Vice President & Chief Counsel, International Commercial Division | Pfizer
Ramzi is currently vice president and chief counsel, International Commercial Division, based in New York. In his role, Ramzi leads the legal team that supports the International Commercial Division and Global Trade. He also serves on the Legal Division Executive Leadership Team.
He joined Pfizer in 2001 as the first in-house counsel for the Middle East. In 2003, he moved to the Pfizer headquarters in New York, where he served as the principal legal advisor for the Global Neuroscience team. He was subsequently appointed as the lead counsel for Latin America. In 2008, he joined the primary care team as the lead counsel for the Midwest and West Regional Business Units in the United States. After the acquisition of Wyeth, he moved to the Pfizer Nutrition Business Unit as lead counsel for China/HK, APAC and Latin America. In 2019, he became the vice president, international legal lead for the Emerging Markets and China, leading the legal team supporting Biopharma operations across the two regions.
Ramzi served on the Board of Mobilisation for Justice (“MFJ”) until June 2024. MFJ is one of the leading providers of free legal services to low-income New Yorkers. Ramzi is also the global chair for the Enterprise Resource Group at Pfizer, the Middle Eastern & North African Resource Alliance “MENARA” established in 2023. He graduated from the Jesuit School of Law in Beirut and completed his LL.M at Fordham University School of Law in New York City.
