Legal Director and Compliance Officer | Ciments du Maroc - HeidelbergCement Group
Imane Belmejdoub holds a Bachelor’s degree in Private Law from Hassan II University in Casablanca and a Master’s degree in Business Law from the same university. She also completed an Executive MBA at École des Ponts Paris.
She began her career in 2007 as a Legal Editor at Artémis Conseil before joining the Spanish law firm Cuatrecasas Gonçalves Pereira in 2008 as a Legal Advisor, where she gained significant experience in corporate law and mergers and acquisitions.
In 2011, she joined Alliances Développement Immobilier Group, where she successively held the positions of Head of Legal and then Group General Counsel, overseeing operations in Morocco, Côte d’Ivoire, Senegal, and Cameroon. During her tenure, she played a key role in the financial restructuring of the group, collaborating with financial institutions and stakeholders to navigate complex legal and regulatory challenges.
She later moved to BOSCH Morocco, where she served as General Counsel for North Africa, covering Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, and Egypt.
Since June 2019, she has been General Counsel and Compliance Officer at Ciments du Maroc, where she leads the legal and compliance functions. In this role, she has been instrumental in developing and implementing compliance programs, ensuring adherence to corporate governance standards, and strengthening the company’s ethics and regulatory frameworks.
Throughout her career at Cuatrecasas, Alliances, and Ciments du Maroc, she has played a key role in numerous local and international M&A transactions, overseeing legal structuring, due diligence, contract negotiations, and regulatory approvals.
In September 2021, she was appointed a member of the Executive Committee, reinforcing her strategic contribution to the company’s leadership.
