Jorge is the General Counsel for Marsh McLennan in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC). Jorge is responsible for ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements in LAC, advising senior leadership on growth and risk management strategies, and ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures. He works closely with the region’s senior executives and sets the strategic direction for LAC’s Legal and Compliance teams.

Before his current role, Jorge worked as Head of Legal and Compliance for Guy Carpenter and Marsh Carpenter Fac in LAC. Before joining Guy Carpenter, Jorge worked as Head of Legal and Compliance for Marsh Colombia from 2010 to 2015. He also supported Mercer in the Andean and Caribbean region between 2012 and 2015.

Prior to joining Marsh McLennan, Jorge held legal roles of increasing responsibility at Liberty Mutual Colombia. Between 2002 and 2010, Jorge served as Corporate Counsel, Compliance Officer and Corporate Governance Director.

Jorge holds a law degree from Universidad de La Sabana and an LLM in International Law from the University of Miami, and has specialisations in Contracts and Commercial Law from Universidad del Rosario, Colombia.
