I lead the legal team for Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean, with the main goal of ensuring the business executes with excellence in a highly dynamic and innovation-driven environment. For a global technology company like Visa, periods of instability often become opportunities to strengthen our payment network and enhance the security and efficiency of our services.

From a legal perspective, the greatest challenge lies in legal and regulatory compliance. Operating a network that spans virtually every jurisdiction worldwide means navigating a vast and constantly evolving regulatory landscape. Each market has its own laws, regulations, and enforcement practices, and ensuring compliance across such diversity requires a robust, adaptive strategy — one that balances global consistency with local specificity.
