What are the major cases or transactions you have been involved in recently?

The acquisition of 49.9% of the shares of Nordstrom Inc represented a professional challenge given the multiplicity of issues that had to be observed to satisfactorily conclude this operation in accordance with the legal provisions applicable in Mexico and the USA, where the delisting of the shares of the public company was carried out.

In addition, I have devoted a great deal of effort to the review, updating and automation of the company’s anti-money laundering protocols, derived from the modifications to Mexican legislation and the declaration of the United States Government to consider the cartels as terrorist groups.

How do you prioritise diversity and inclusion within your legal department, and what initiatives have you implemented to foster a more inclusive and equitable work environment?

The philosophy of the company and the legal area is to hire the best talent, without distinction of gender, thanks to this in a period of 5 years, a more diverse integration has been achieved in which more than 50% of the workforce are women and at the Management and Deputy Director levels represent 40%.

In addition, work is being done to reinforce the principles of diversity and inclusion within the team through workshops in which all team members have participated.
