What are the most significant cases, projects and/or transactions that you and/or your legal team have recently been involved in?
The team has been engaged in commercial negotiations, claims and litigation, as well as ethics and compliance administration. We signed several major international projects and an important settlement agreement, so it was a good year!
How do you approach managing legal aspects during periods of instability or crisis to ensure the organisation’s resilience?
Periods of instability are the right time to return to our essential values: from a technical perspective, rigorous risk analysis, and from a team perspective, solidarity, collaboration, transparency and respect.
Given the current geopolitical shifts and growing uncertainties around international free trade, has your company’s risk profile evolved, and are you taking measures to address these challenges?
Risk profiles evolve as a result of current geopolitical shifts and growing uncertainties — towards more progressive engagement and risk sharing, and away from lump-sum schemes and pure risk transfer.
Looking forward, what trends do you foresee in the legal landscape over the next 5–10 years that companies should prepare for?
AI is a clear example, but I can foresee another trend, which is less litigation and more alternative dispute resolution methods, including mediation.
