Sylvia Andriessen is the General Counsel of Euronext N.V. and Secretary to the Supervisory Board of Euronext N.V. She is based in Paris.

As General Counsel, Sylvia Andriessen is also a member of the Euronext Group’s Extended Managing Board. In this capacity, she supports the Group’s strategy, particularly its ambitious strategic plan, Innovate for Growth 2027, announced in 2024. She contributes to the development of ideas and decision-making across various complex portfolios, including organic growth and acquisitions, technological development and innovation, shareholder relations, and sustainability. She also serves as Secretary to the Supervisory Board of Euronext N.V.

Sylvia Andriessen is responsible for all legal, corporate secretarial and regulatory matters. Specifically, and in a personal capacity, she also oversees the Group’s ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) strategy.

The Legal and Regulatory Department of Euronext, led by Sylvia, is responsible for managing all legal, regulatory and corporate governance matters within a highly competitive environment. The team has handled all legal aspects of several cross-border acquisitions and the subsequent integration of companies, strategies and talent.

Euronext’s Legal and Regulatory Department maintains close contact with the regulators of all Euronext countries, as well as with the Euronext College of Regulators, which oversees the seven regulated markets. This College brings together representatives of local market regulators to implement a coordinated approach to market supervision by promoting harmonised national regulations. All the aforementioned transactions and subsequent integration processes required extensive discussions with the seven regulators, resulting in a fully integrated value chain across Europe.
