Edouard Eltvedt, SVP Corporate Legal Affairs at Airbus, has over 20 years’ experience in international business law, both in private practice and in-house. He spent ten years working in private practice on international mergers and acquisitions, and has been with Airbus for 15 years, successively overseeing mergers and acquisitions, strategic projects under the General Counsel (including international investigations), and, since 2022, the legal teams responsible for corporate law, affiliates governance, mergers and acquisitions, competition law, corporate finance, and real estate law.
This year’s highlights include the proposed European satellite consolidation project with Thales and Leonardo. Previously, he was notably involved in the creation of ArianeGroup, the acquisition of the C-Series aircraft programme (now the A220) from Bombardier, the review of Airbus’ stake in Dassault Aviation, and the resolution of the Airbus compliance investigations.
Edouard Eltvedt studied European business law, holds a dual degree in French and Anglo-Saxon law, and notably attended a youth session at the IHEDN (Institute for Advanced Studies in National Defence) in 1997.
