How do you approach managing legal aspects during periods of instability or crises, and how does your legal strategy align with the broader business strategy to ensure the organization’s resilience?
In times of crisis or uncertainty, my focus is on clarity, communication, and adaptability. I start by aligning legal strategy with company priorities, ensuring stakeholders are working towards shared goals. Transparent, proactive communication fosters collaboration and problem-solving, while close engagement with teams helps identify issues early and direct resources where needed.
Legal strategy is about more than risk mitigation; it’s about enabling agility, supporting the broader business vision, and helping the organisation navigate change and build long-term resilience.
What are the major cases or transactions you have been involved in recently?
I successfully led the legal aspects of the acquisition of Tonny, strengthening our market position and expanding our strategic capabilities. I also played a key role in the acquisition of Danish Podads, aligning with our growth strategy and reinforcing our industry presence. In February, Podimo announced surpassing 1 million paying subscribers across its markets – a significant milestone that reflects the strength of our business model and execution. This achievement underscores the company’s ability to scale sustainably while delivering high-quality content to an engaged audience.
What emerging technologies do you see as having the most significant impact on the legal profession in the near future, and how do you stay updated on these developments?
One of the most significant developments in the legal profession today is the growing use of collaborative technologies, such as contract automation and AI-assisted research. These tools are having a major impact on everyday tasks, streamlining workflows, and more.
With this shift comes a need to reflect on how we apply these tools in the most effective and responsible way, ensuring that we, as lawyers, remain accountable for the work we deliver. A key part of this is fostering collaboration – sharing knowledge, learning from one another, and developing best practices to continually improve how we adopt and integrate these technologies.
This way of working—open, collaborative, and not in silos – can play a vital role in staying on top of emerging technologies and developments, and in shaping how we apply them in our daily legal work.
