Bio
Cristiano Cozer has served as General Counsel of the Central Bank of Brazil since 2016. He began his career at the Bank in 1998 as an attorney. He graduated from Rio de Janeiro State University in 1997 and holds a master’s degree in law, State and Constitution from the University of Brasilia (2006), as well as a master’s degree in public Sector Economics from IDP/Brasilia (2023).
He is currently pursuing a PhD in Economic and Financial Law at the University of São Paulo. A member of the Committee on International Monetary Law of the International Law Association (Mocomila) since 2014, his academic interests include the study of money, monetary policy, and financial regulation.
