Bio
Renato Maia Lopes holds a degree in Law from FIG-UNIMESP and a graduate degree in Tax Law from PUC-COGEAE, Civil Law from FMU, and is currently pursuing a master’s in Law, Justice, and Impacts on the Economy from CEDES. Renato has received specialised training in M&A at FGV and Corporate Governance at Fundação Dom Cabral. Additionally, he has attended the Management Program for Lawyers at the Yale School of Management, US and the Executive Global Advocacy and International Lobbying Program at George Washington University, US.
Renato began his career as a lawyer at a labour law firm before joining Votorantim, where he has worked for the past 24 years. Initially, he worked at Votorantim Metais and Votorantim Siderurgia before joining CBA in 2016 as the head of the legal, corporate governance, and compliance departments. Throughout his career, Renato has gained extensive experience in the steelmaking, mining, and metals industries.
Since 2009, Renato has served as an ICSS-certified member of the Deliberative Board of Fundação Senador José Ermírio de Moraes (FUNSEJEM).
