What are the key projects that you have been involved in over the past 12 months?
Over the past year, one of my key focus areas has been building and integrating an international legal team. I’ve been part of the leading team regarding the transformation from several decentralised legal departments into a single, cohesive global function, aligning our structures, workflows, and priorities across regions. A central part of this project has been establishing global standards — from contract templates to risk assessments and internal processes. This not only improves efficiency and consistency, but also strengthens the visibility and strategic role of legal within the organisation. The transformation also involved a strong people dimension: identifying synergies, empowering local teams, and creating a shared identity for the legal function worldwide. The result is a more agile, connected, and business-aligned legal team that adds value across all levels of the group.
What do you think sets you apart from other in-house counsel?
I focus on practical, business-oriented solutions. One of my strengths is communicating legal matters in a way that resonates with non-lawyers — making legal input accessible, relevant, and influential at all levels. What also sets me apart is my ability to bridge the gap between legal and operational realities. I work closely with cross-functional teams and leadership to ensure legal strategy is fully integrated into the company’s broader goals. I bring a proactive mindset, strong commercial awareness, and a clear focus on adding value — not complexity. Having worked across diverse, international industries, I’m comfortable navigating regulatory challenges while maintaining a hands-on, solution-driven approach. I don’t see legal as a barrier, but as a lever for smarter, more sustainable business.
What is a cause, business or otherwise, that you are passionate about?
I’m passionate about building legal cultures that are empowering, forward-looking, and genuinely integrated into the business. For me, legal isn’t just a support function, it’s a key part of shaping strategy, enabling growth, and ensuring sustainable success. I care deeply about promoting clarity, accountability, and high professional standards, especially in complex, international environments. Strong governance and transparent processes are not just compliance tools, they’re part of building trust and credibility across the organisation. On a more personal level, I’m committed to mentoring and developing legal talent. Supporting young professionals in finding their voice, understanding the business context, and growing into confident, solution-oriented advisors is something I find incredibly rewarding.
