Career Biography

Valeria Arango has over 12 years’ experience advising multinational companies across Latin America, North America, and Europe. She currently serves as Global Counsel for Global Commercial Operations at Energizer Holdings, Inc., where she leads legal strategy for commercial and sales matters throughout the Americas, Asia, and Europe. Prior to joining Energizer, Valeria was Head of Legal for Latin America at Jeeves, a Y Combinator-backed fintech startup. There, she oversaw regulatory compliance efforts across five countries, streamlined contract management processes, and provided strategic legal advice to support the company’s rapid growth in the region.

Valeria’s time at Unilever included several leadership roles. As General Counsel and a member of the Board of Directors for Unilever Colombia, she played a pivotal role in major M&A transactions, implemented data-driven contract management tools, and supported the company’s e-commerce expansion. Earlier in her career, Valeria worked at top-tier law firms such as Posse Herrera Ruiz in Colombia and Veirano Advogados in Brazil, advising on high-value transactions and representing clients across various industries.
