What are the most significant cases, projects, or transactions that you and your legal team have recently been involved in?

The S&P Global Legal team has been closely involved in several notable transactions this past year, including: the S&P global mobility segment spin-off to a public company, separating the automotive data and analytics businesses into a standalone public company; a major $1.8bn acquisition completed on November 2025, expanding S&P’s leadership in private markets data, insights, and analytics; ORBCOMM’s AIS business acquisition, completed in November 2025, bolstering S&P’s supply chain and maritime data offerings; the ProntoNLP Acquisition, announced in January 2025 to enhance generative AI capabilities within its products; and the OSTTRA sale completion, a $3.1bn deal to KKR.

How do you approach managing legal aspects during periods of instability or crisis to ensure the organisation’s resilience?

There is often information overload in times of instability and in rapidly evolving situations. My team’s role is to bring clarity, not confusion. My team and I focus on helping our business partners and stakeholders cut through complexity so that they can make confident, informed decisions. I ask every member of my team to prioritise providing practical, digestible advice that translates into clear options for the business. Rather than presenting every theoretical risk, we focus on what matters most, the likely outcomes, and the actions our leaders can take in real time. This way, we serve as a stabilizing partner to our stakeholders, and help them be adaptable and forward-looking, especially in times of uncertainty.

What have you done to further diversity objectives in your organisation?

I am passionate about championing a culture of respect and inclusion. It is important to me to lead by example. I am a strong advocate and ally of the LGBTQ+ community. I have actively participated in and spoken at company events about the importance of acceptance, inclusion, and belonging. In partnership with our People team, I have led efforts to expand S&P Global’s paid parental leave to a minimum of 26 weeks for all parents, including adoption, surrogacy and fostering, as well as increased fertility treatment coverage. I have previously served as the Executive Sponsor of our company’s Pride People Resource Group and helped lay the foundation for Pride’s global expansion, with seven of their ten chapters outside the US and UK. I have also advocated for S&P Global’s signature on multiple Human Rights Campaign Foundation amicus briefs supporting LGBTQ+ inclusive business practices. More recently, I served as the Executive Sponsor for Adelante, another People Resource Group at S&P that is dedicated to bringing awareness to Hispanic and Latine cultures.
