Kevan Choset
General counsel | Spotify
Kevan Choset is General Counsel of Spotify. In this role, he leads Spotify’s global legal operations, overseeing licensing, litigation, intellectual property, regulatory, corporate, privacy, employment, and compliance functions. He has worked at Spotify for more than 12 years, serving in a variety of legal roles.
Prior to joining Spotify, Kevan worked at Viacom and at the law firms Davis Wright Tremaine and Cahill Gordon. His legal experience includes advising The Colbert Report on a daily basis and representing J.D. Salinger in litigation involving The Catcher in the Rye. Kevan holds both a J.D. and a B.A. from Harvard University.
Outside of his legal work, Kevan is an active crossword constructor and solver. He has published more than 25 puzzles in The New York Times and has finished as high as 12th place in the American Crossword Puzzle Tournament.
