What is one leadership principle or practice that has had the greatest impact on your career as a GC?
I used to think leadership was all about giving orders and taking decisions, but I have realised over time that the key to effective leadership is listening and understanding. I think if people are listened to, they feel trusted, they are part of the decision-making process and they’re more likely to buy into the end result, whichever way it goes.
