How do you approach managing legal aspects during periods of instability or crises, and how does your legal strategy align with the broader business strategy to ensure the organisation’s resilience?
We need to be very agile and react quickly. We have also set up monitoring of all new events or regulations that may impact the business, and we need to be very supportive of the business (and carry out the right risk assessment to take measured risks if needed). The legal strategy always aims to support the business and must continually adapt to the activity or the crisis. We also need to be able to do more with less (people, costs, etc.) and to remain very pragmatic.
Do you have a cause, business-related or otherwise, that you are passionate about?,/strong>
As Legal and CSR Director, our robust and challenging CSR roadmap is truly inspiring me. It has a real impact on the environment and on people. It also affects the legal work, particularly with the preparation of the first CSRD report, which must comply with all mandatory requirements while still serving as a communicative document (which will not be an easy task this year). Both support functions (CSR and Legal) are closely linked to each other and fully aligned with the overall business strategy. It also requires the team to remain pragmatic when dealing with very complex regulations.
