Guillaume Nonain
General Counsel, EMEA and APAC | Brink’s
How do you approach managing legal aspects during periods of instability or crisis to ensure the organisation’s resilience?
By having frequent and regular contact with teams on the ground, and ensuring that the right processes are in place before a crisis occurs.
What is a cause, business or otherwise, that you are passionate about? Why is this?
Given my company’s business and as a matter of personal principle, I am passionate about payment choice and promoting the use of cash for inclusion, privacy, and resilience. I am also the President of E.S.T.A., the European cash management companies association, which serves as the voice of our industry with the ECB and the European Commission.
What factors influence your team’s decision to use external legal services versus handling matters in-house, and what criteria are used to evaluate their performance?
The main factors are: workload of the team, level of expertise required, and cost–benefit assessment.
