With their multidisciplinary approach, the legal teams meet the complex and varied needs of Bpifrance’s different departments.

In addition to providing the legal support needed for the implementation of the main strategic initiatives, we have continued our digital transformation projects to improve operational efficiency and strengthen the management of the legal function.

The integration of AI should help automate tasks such as legal research, document review, and contract management. It will also support compliance checks to ensure contracts align with predefined policies, and help optimise legal monitoring and documentation processes.

Looking ahead, our ambitions will focus on:

Process optimisation, updating legal documentation, and continuing digitalisation to ensure greater operational efficiency — including exploring the impact of generative AI on the legal profession (use cases, pilot projects).

Assessing the impact of recent regulations in sustainable finance and climate (sustainable finance, CSR, duty of vigilance, etc.) as well as in other areas (digital operational resilience (DORA), Digital Services Act, AI Act, etc.) — both for Bpifrance and its clients and subsidiaries.

The legal teams also contribute to strengthening the overall legal community. They communicate, share information, and take part in various internal events and committees to promote a legal culture, as well as exchange knowledge with peers and lead the Bpifrance legal network.

They are also active in professional legal networks and expert groups, and participate in forums, conferences, and industry committees.
