Isaac is currently the Executive Head, Legal and Regulatory for M-Pesa Africa Limited. Previously Isaac was the Senior Legal Counsel, Safaricom PLC and Safaricom Money Transfer Services Limited managing the day to day legal, compliance and regulatory issues around M-PESA and Safaricom’s financial services products since 2014. Launched in 2007, M-PESA is the world’s most successful mobile money service processing more than 70 million transactions a day and with more than 50 million customers across 8 countries in Africa. Isaac has been an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya for 20 years and previously worked in the State Law Office, Kenya Commercial Bank, Vodacom South Africa and Safaricom PLC.

Isaac has been part of the team that developed mobile money interoperability guidelines in Kenya and has been involved in several committees on implementation of cross border payment initiatives within East Africa. Isaac is also currently a member of the technical working group that is reviewing payment and remittance regulations in Kenya under the guidance of the Central Bank of Kenya.

Isaac is a lawyer by profession and a member of the East Africa Law Society and the Law Society of Kenya. Isaac is an avid sports fan and currently attempting to play golf.
