Head Legal, Corporate and Investment Banking | Stanbic Bank Uganda
Alice Nalwoga is currently the head legal, corporate and investment banking at Stanbic Bank Uganda. At Stanbic, Alice leads the provision of full legal services to the corporate and investment banking (CIB) business, maintaining accountability for the delivery of reliable, accurate, timely and well- informed advice on legal issues, interests, risks, and obligations as well as the potential legal implications of strategic business objectives, initiatives, and projects.
Her target driven financial services legal experience incorporates a successful track record in international law firms, leading a banking and finance practice covering twelve commercial banks, two regional development banks and non-bank lenders. Alice’s market leading experience has been recognised by Chambers and Partners and IFLR1000 which ranked her as a notable legal practitioner.
Alice holds a Master of Laws Degree in Financial Services Law and Post-Graduate Diploma in International Business Law from University of London, UK, a Bachelor of Laws from Makerere University, Kampala. She is admitted to practice law in Uganda. She is a member of the Uganda Law Society, East African Law Society and Chartered Governance Institute of UK and Ireland.
