William is a partner in Kingsley Napley’s Dispute Resolution team, based in London.  He deals mainly with civil fraud litigation and asset recovery. 

William has specialised in commercial litigation with a particular focus on civil fraud actions since he qualified. He has extensive and wide-ranging litigation experience, having acted in cases involving contractual disputes, breach of fiduciary duty, breach of trust, and insolvency-related litigation. 

William is highly experienced in using freezing injunctions, search orders and disclosure orders in international fraud investigations.  He acts as a supervising solicitor in the execution of search orders.

Kingsley Napley LLP¬†deals with international disputes including fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, breach of trust, deceit, bribery and corruption. The firm successfully defended Crockfords which operates Genting Casinos, against a claim by professional poker player Phil Ivey in which it refused to pay out winnings to him on the basis he had commited fraud against the casino by using a gambling technique called ‚Äėedge sorting‚Äô. This case was worth ¬£7.8m and the final judgment was handed down by the Supreme Court in October 2017. Practice head Richard Foss¬†is ‚Äėan extremely able, versatile, and experienced partner with excellent analytical skills and very fine judgement‚Äô. Sue Thackeray¬†¬†‚Äėdoesn‚Äôt miss a trick and is extremely effective at seeing how to obtain the best solution‚Äô. William Christopher¬†and Fiona Simpson¬†are also recommended.

Kingsley Napley LLP regularly acts on behalf of both individuals and corporate entities making claims against banks, financial advisers and other investment bodies for negligence and breach of contract, with particular experience in investor and mis-selling claims, fraud-related disputes and misrepresentations.
