Position

Adam is a corporate lawyer specialising in private equity. He has significant experience advising both private equity houses and management teams, as well as investee companies. He has acted for a number of private equity houses, including FF&P Private Equity, Elysian Capital, Graphite Capital, Primary Capital, ISIS Equity Partners and NBGI Private Equity. Experience: acting for Elysian Capital on the management buyout of Wellbeing Software Group, a market-leading healthcare IT group focused on the provision of software solutions and services to hospitals throughout the UK; acting for the management team backed by Risk Capital on the buyin management buyout of Neilson Active Holidays from the Thomas Cook Group; acting for FF&P Private Equity on the management buyout of the specialist property services company David Phillips; acting for the management shareholders on the sale of a majority interest in Longview Partners, the specialist asset management firm, to Northill Capital ‚ÄďLongview was founded in 2011 and manages $19.5bn on behalf of predominantly institutional investors.

MacDougall, Richard Coleman and others acted for the shareholders and management team of Black Rock Programme Management in the £161.5m investment by Intermediate Capital Group. Another matter involved Keir Gordon, legal director Deborah Robson and associate Darren Marley advising Zenium Group (which was backed by Soros Private Equity Partners) on selling its Turkish data centres to Equinix for $97m, and then advising the client's shareholders on the sale of Zenium Group to CyrusOne Dutch Holdings. Andrew Clarke and Adam Crossley are the other key partners in MacDougall's team, which also includes senior associates Lucy Thorpe and Chris Manning.
