Tapping into the expertise of a team of ‘sage seniors and clever associates’, Charles Russell Speechlys LLP makes effective use of its resources to provide a cost-effective and solutions-oriented service to debtors and creditors across a range of domestic and cross-border formal insolvency and restructuring work, in both a corporate and personal insolvency setting. The team, which was recently enhanced by the arrival of the ‘very impressive’ Alison Goldthorp from Norton Rose Fulbright, has excellent knowledge of the “black letter law”, but does not lose sight of how to effectively implement these principles in a commercially sensitive manner. Hanh Nguyen is a ‘serious intellect’ whose skills are appreciated by IPs, including when they are seeking to bring claims against stakeholders/third parties to maximise recoveries for creditors. ‘Experienced and cool headed’ team head Roger Elford also regularly handles contentious work and is particularly adept at handling real estate-related restructurings/insolvencies.
