Kommunalkredit Austria AG (Kommunalkredit) will build and operate the largest electrolysis plant for green hydrogen in Austria together with a partner in the future. The plant is expected to be commissioned in the second half of 2023. E+H provided legal advice to Kommunalkredit on this pioneering project.

Green hydrogen as chance

With its investment in the largest electrolysis plant for green hydrogen, Kommunalkredit is sending a clear signal for the next step in the energy turnaround, thus continuing to follow its strategy as a trailblazer in sustainable infrastructure and energy financing. The commissioning of the electrolysis plant will lead to significant savings in CO2 emissions and is thus a significant measure against climate change.

Under the leadership of Dr Peter Winkler, LL.M. (Harvard) and Dr Philipp Schrader, E+H supported this visionary energy project.
