Mr. Stolzenbach is a partner in the Chicago office of Seyfarth Shaw. He is well versed in the field of labor relations law, representing his clients in labor negotiations, unfair labor practice proceedings, grievance and interest arbitrations, Section 301 and 303 litigation, NLRB representation proceedings, and litigation involving the Railway Labor Act. He also advises employers on a wide spectrum of labor relations issues, including lockouts and strikes, neutrality agreements, corporate campaigns, traditional organizing campaigns, withdrawal liability and other employee benefits matters, and labor relations matters related to mergers and acquisitions. In addition to his labor relations practice, Mr. Stolzenbach maintains a robust employment litigation practice. He defends employers against just about any kind of legal claim their employees and former employees can imagine. He has defended his clients against claims brought under Section 1981 and Title VII, the ADA, FMLA, FLSA, ADEA, and ERISA, and a variety of state and local laws in California, Florida, Idaho, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Michigan, Missouri, Nevada, New Jersey, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Washington, and Wisconsin. At the same time, Mr. Stolzenbach routinely works with his clients to avoid litigation by training and counseling them on labor and employment law and sound employee relations.


Mr. Stolzenbach has been with Seyfarth Shaw since graduating law school and has been a partner with the Firm since 2008. He has served as Vice Chairman of the Firm’s Labor and Employee Relations Practice Group since 2015.
