Farrer & Co provides the kind of ‘client-focused service that one might expect from a mid-market firm’. Clients have particularly noted the team’s ‘personable, practical and proactive’ approach to letting transactions, construction and development and general property management issues. Department head Andrew Bailey advised Hub Group on the acquisition of a building in Wembley for redevelopment as a mixed-use retail, office and residential space. Further, Bailey and Mark Gauguier acted for Charities Property Fund in relation to the forward funding of a pre-let retail park development on a brownfield site in Greenwich, and Gauguier is also advising Duchy of Cornwall on the strategic planning and development structure of the Poundbury Development – a sustainable urban extension including residential and commercial buildings and infrastructure. Charles Anderson is acting for The British Library in connection to the disposal of land for the St Pancras development site, and the construction of gallery facilities and public spaces. James Furber and senior associates Sarah Aggarwal and Fred Lee are also recommended. Robin Holmes retired and Gavin Acheson left for Birketts LLP.
