Sayenko Kharenko has acted as Ukrainian legal counsel to Citigroup, Renaissance Capital and UBS Investment Bank, joint bookrunners in the issue of USD 300 million secured notes due 2024 by TransOil Group of Companies, a vertically integrated agro-industrial holding with operating facilities in Moldova and Ukraine.
The transaction is a debut Eurobond placement for both TransOil Group of Companies and Moldova. The deal is also innovative and the first of its kind for the Ukrainian market, as it is the first Eurobond secured by mortgage and pledges over assets located in Ukraine.
Sayenko Kharenko’s team was led by counsel Igor Lozenko and included associates Dmytro Vasylyna, Oles Trachuk and Yurii Dmytrenko, and junior associate Vladyslava Mitsai.
