Raue, together with Swedish partner law firm Cederquist, comprehensively advised Prima Materia on a 100 million euros investment in Munich-based AI start-up Helsing. The investment is still subject to investment approval by the relevant authorities.

Helsing focuses on the development of artificial intelligence for use in defense. The start-up was founded at the beginning of 2021 by Torsten Reil, Niklas Köhler and Gundbert Scherf. Helsing had already raised 8.5 million euros in seed capital in spring 2021.

Prima Materia is a European investment company founded by Spotify co-founder and CEO Daniel Ek.

Raue advised Prima Materia on all legal aspects of the investment in Helsing under German law.
