Singapore’s Global Law Firm Dentons Rodyk announces the admission of two new Senior Partners and seven Partners with effect from 1 January 2024.

Lawyers Foo Maw Jiun and Melissa Thng have both been admitted into the firm’s senior partnership, joining the ranks of 46 other Senior Partners of the firm. This admission is a testament to their achievements in their respective practices and underscores the firm’s unwavering dedication to fostering the next generation of young leaders within the legal industry.

Maw Jiun has been at Dentons Rodyk for over 14 years in the Intellectual Property & Technology practice and co-heads the Data Privacy & Protection and Cybersecurity practices. Recognised last year as a Rising Star by IP Stars and acknowledged amongst Asia’s top 40 lawyers under 40 by Asian Legal Business in 2022, Maw Jiun’s main areas of practice encompass worldwide registration of intellectual property, infringement and counterfeiting actions, commercial litigation involving intellectual property, commercialisation of intellectual property rights and compliance with data protection and cybersecurity laws.

Like Maw Jiun, Melissa has also been at Dentons Rodyk for the entirety of her career so far. From the firm’s Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice, Melissa’s practice covers a diverse range of industry sectors, including energy and projects, aviation, commercial fraud, equity and trust disputes, cryptocurrency and digital assets. Recognised just last year by Asian Legal Business as one of Asia’s top 40 legal minds under 40, Melissa co-heads the International Trade practice and specialises in cross-border, trans-national litigation and arbitration, and has a particular interest in disputes involving novel or complex issues.
