Welcome to The Legal 500 Future Lawyers guide 2022/23.
Our name may have changed but our expertise remains the same. We have over 18 years’ experience researching the legal industry and our aim is to give you an unparalleled insight into what it’s like to train at law firms and barristers’ chambers across the UK.
Choosing to which law firm firms to apply can be a very daunting task, with hundreds in a crammed marketplace vying for your attention. Researching firms via their own websites is a good starting point, but that can only get you so far.
While not as plentiful as law firms, barristers’ chambers all have their own niches and the culture will vary from one set to the next. Chambers’ own marketing material may tell you which practice areas they specialise in, but getting to know what the atmosphere is like is a much harder task.
Enter, The Legal 500 Future Lawyers.
Each year we send a survey to as many trainees and pupils as we can reach, asking them to provide anonymous feedback on their training contracts and pupillages, and to rate their experiences according to several different criteria.
