Body copy:

DZP has advised Warsaw Trams on securing a PLN 950 million loan from the European Investment Bank to expand tram line infrastructure.

The aim of the investment is to reduce road traffic in Warsaw and encourage residents to use environmentally friendly public transport. Among other things, the project will provide a tram link between the Warsaw districts of Wilanów and Mokotów Dolny along ul. Belwederska, ul. Sobieski and al. Rzeczpospolitej. The project is also intended to improve communication with the Warsaw West railway station by providing a tram route to the station from the district of Ochota.

DZP’s advice included negotiating the financing documentation and support in public procurement law. The transaction was handled by lawyers from the infrastructure financing and debt issue team: Rafał Grochowski, Partner, Anna Kuczewska, Senior Associate, and Monika Knothe, Associate. The client was supported in public procurement matters by Wojciech Hartung, Counsel in the public procurement team.
