TMT Law Practice successfully represented YashRaj Film ( A Film Production House) in denying the relief to a Writ Petitioner in a Public Interest Litigation which sought deletion of a scene from their upcoming movie “Jayeshbhai Jordaar”.
The film deals with the portrayal of a social message to protect the girl child. The Petitioner, after watching the trailer of the film sought deletion of a scene that, according to the petitioner, seemed to convey the illegal act of sex selection. As the film has been certified, the Court refused to intervene and accepted the Producer’s statement to extend the disclaimer to the said scene.
