Sayenko Kharenko has advised Orexim Group (Orexim) on a secured USD 36 million financing provided by Export-Import Bank of Korea (KEXIM) to Grain Terminal Holdings, a Singapore-based joint venture between Posco International and Orexim.

Orexim is engaged in exporting agricultural products and providing port and logistics services. Starting as a small trading company in 2004, Orexim has developed into a large entity with over 1,000 employees.

In 2019, Sayenko Kharenko advised Orexim on the sale of a controlling stake in its grain terminal business to Posco International and the establishment of a joint venture over the business. As a result of the transaction, Posco International became the first Korean entity holding operating rights to a grain storage facility overseas.

The Export-Import Bank of Korea is an official export credit agency (ECA) providing comprehensive export loan and guarantee programs to support Korean enterprises conducting business overseas.

Sayenko Kharenko’s cross-practice team was co-led by partners Igor Lozenko and Oleksandr Nikolaichyk with support from associates Denis Nakonechnyi and Ilhar Hakhramanov.
