LNT & Partners is honored to advise Vietcombank in the signing of a loan agreement to set up a credit line totaling up to USD300 million to support green energy and environmental preserving projects in Vietnam.
After successfully implementing a USD200 million credit line signed in 2019 supported by the LNT team led by our partner Minh Vu, the second USD300 million two steps loan from JBIC and major Japanese banks for Vietcombank further affirms the credibility and trust of international financial institutions towards Vietcombank. It also confirms the close cooperation between JBIC and Vietcombank in promoting sustainable economic development, regional integration, and environmental protection in Vietnam.
The signing ceremony is an important milestone that demonstrates the positive evaluation of international financial institutions regarding the confidence in the financial activities of Vietnamese banks in general and Vietcombank in particular. The loan will support green energy and environmental protection projects in Vietnam, one of the areas hugely cared by the Party and Government. With that significance, the loan is a symbol of the long-term cooperation between Vietcombank and JBIC for sustainable development in Vietnam, enhancing Vietnam’s image as a reputable, safe, and friendly investment destination, and contributing to the further development of the cooperation between Vietnam and Japan. Based on the contract terms, Vietcombank will collaborate with JBIC to optimize the loan’s positive social and environmental impacts. The project team led by our partner Minh Vu, assisted by associate Linh Dang is proud to continue for the Vietcombank trust and support Vietcombank in this remarkable transaction.
