GSK Stockmann advises Erhard & Stern on sale of Salutem medical centre in Mannheim

GSK Stockmann advised E&S Real Estate GmbH (Erhard & Stern), based in Heidelberg, on the sale of the “Salutem Praxisklinik” medical centre in Mannheim. The buyer is Swiss Life Asset Managers Deutschland GmbH, based in Cologne.

A GSK Stockmann team led by partner Dr Martin Prothmann advised on the sale of the property to the new owner. The firm was able to draw on its many years of experience with healthcare properties of all kinds. GSK Stockmann regularly advises inpatient care homes, hospitals, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, neighbourhood projects and laboratories – in many cases, as with Salutem, in the context of real estate transactions.

Erhard & Stern is one of the leading real estate developers in the Rhine-Neckar region. The owner-managed company prioritises sustainability and architectural quality in its properties. The “Salutem Praxisklinik” medical centre comprises around 11,000 square metres of rental space and brings together a wide range of specialised medical services. In addition to uro-oncology, radiology, laboratory services and orthopaedics, the centre offers physiotherapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy. The property also includes fitness facilities and offices and 93 per cent of the space is let.

The property also houses the recently opened Manfred Fuchs Clinic, a centre of excellence for urological cancer within the Heidelberg-Mannheim University Hospital network. The clinic has three fully digital operating theatres, each equipped with the latest generation of Da Vinci robotic systems for minimally invasive surgical procedures. More than 2,000 patients are expected to be treated here every year.
