EMZ sells ASSEPRO group to The Ardonagh Group

Niederer Kraft Frey advised EMZ on the sale of the ASSEPRO group to The Ardonagh Group.

EMZ is a leading European investment firm. Its activities focus on backing founders, family shareholders and management teams from its offices in Paris and Munich. Its current EMZ 10 fund exceeds EUR 1.2 billion in size with investment tickets ranging from EUR 25 to EUR 150 million per transaction. EMZ invested alongside, amongst other, the ASSEPRO management team and ASSEPRO employees into ASSEPRO in January 2021.

ASSEPRO is the largest independent insurance broker for small and medium-sized enterprises in Switzerland. Its 300 employees work across 24 locations offering a variety of services including general insurance, pensions, and legal advice. It is also the largest insurance broker for physician’s insurance in Austria. Since 2017, ASSEPRO has successfully acquired and integrated over 20 businesses, supporting its expansion across Europe.

The Ardonagh Group is UK’s largest independent insurance distribution platform and a top 20 broker globally.
