The Dutch Van Mossel Automotive Group takes over the largest dealer group in Northern Germany and thus starts its expansion into Germany.

Under the leadership of Cologne partner Andrea Heuser, CBH provided comprehensive advice to the Van Mossel Automotive Group together with the Dutch law firm Treble, Freek Haerkens, through whom the mandate was acquired.

In the Benelux, Van Mossel Automotive Group is the largest automotive company with a turnover of approximately € 4.5 billion and 350 branches. Van Mossel sells more than 150,000 new and used cars of 34 different car brands every year. Van Mossel also owns a large workshop service provider in Belgium and the Netherlands and International Car Lease Holding with various brands and a leasing fleet of over 110,000 vehicles.

The Hugo Pfohe family business was founded in 1919 and is one of the largest dealer groups in northern Germany. Headquartered in Hamburg, the company has a turnover of around €300 million, employs over 700 people and sells around 10,000 cars annually.
