Azmi & Associates is pleased to announce that it is the first law firm in Malaysia to have been granted a licence by the Bar Council of Malaysia to employ Pierre Brochet as Foreign Qualified Lawyer. Pierre is qualified to practice as a Solicitor of the Senior Courts of England and Wales and as an Avocat before the French (Paris) Bar.
Pierre Brochet will be joining the firm as a registered Foreign
Qualified Lawyer for the following permitted practice areas: corporate
finance, capital market, banking & finance and derivatives.
He has over 20 years of experience in the Cross-Border Financing &
Derivatives Sector with firms such as Clifford Chance, White & Case,
McDermott Will & Emery and Greenberg Traurig, in London, Paris and
New York. He brings on board varied and wide-ranging experience in the
areas of securities issuances (including listed and publicly traded
bonds), investment grade and leveraged credit facilities, asset- and
receivables-based financings, structured financings (collateralised or
derivatives-based) and debt re-financings and restructurings, most of
them cross-border.
Pierre holds a Maîtrise in Law from the
University of Paris and an LL.M. in International Business Law from
King’s College London, and also studied law at the University of
Edinburgh. He is an arbitrator at the Asian International Arbitration
Centre (AIAC) in Kuala Lumpur, specializing in finance and derivatives
matters.
