Career
Head of IP Rogier de Vrey has extensive experience in advising on all aspects of intellectual property and media & advertising matters.
Rogier did his PhD on unfair competition and advertising law. During his PhD, Rogier worked at several renowned institutions, including the European Commission and the Max Planck Institute in Munich.
In his practice, Rogier has a particular focus on international intellectual property law matters, both transactions and litigation. He advises in the areas of parallel trade, anti-counterfeiting, ambush marketing, sponsorship and licensing, ticketing regulation, exploitation and enforcement of (digital) media rights, advertising and IP infringement.
Rogier is associate professor at Utrecht University and member of the Editorial Board of the renowned Intellectual Property and Advertising Law Magazine (IER). He is author of several publications in the field of IP/TMC, e.g. coauthor of the leading handbook on Enforcement of IP rights.
