Career

María Ines Corrá is a partner in the Arbitration and Economic Regulation and Administrative Law departments.

Her practice focuses on administrative and constitutional law and matters of economic regulation, providing advice and representation to local and foreign clients, in domestic litigation as well as complex international arbitrations. At the local level, she litigates before the federal and provincial jurisdiction and before the Argentine Supreme Court as a first instance and in extraordinary appeals. At the international level, she has been litigating for more than a decade before the main international arbitration centers under the rules of the ICC, ICSID, ICDR and UNCITRAL, among others.

Cases of economic and institutional matters in which she has provided advice include those related to tariff control, exchange control, emergency measures, de-dollarization, natural gas export restrictions, subsidies and state aid, fishing quotas, construction, the operation and maintenance of infrastructure in connection with public sector servicing, retail sector intervention measures and disputes related to postal and airport services, among others.

Her arbitration practice frequently includes acting as counsel in complex investment, regulatory and commercial disputes. She has also acted as international court secretary in ICC arbitrations and under other rules.

She has received recognition from specialized international publications, such as Most Inspiring Women in Law in Latin America (Latin Lawyer) and Women in Law Awards 2014 (Lawyer Monthly Magazine), and has been frequently highlighted for her public law and arbitration practice by Chambers, LACCA and Corporate Intl Global Magazine, among others.
