Career

One of the founders of the Firm, he received a law degree from the Law School of the Universidad de Buenos Aires in 1981. He was admitted to the Argentine Bar in 1982.

Mr. Lombardi has extensive experience in legal and regulatory advice to banks. His areas of expertise include banking, corporate finance and capital markets transactions. He has acted as legal advisor to Senior Management of various banks in Argentina, a role he has performed over the years. He has worked in several banking and corporate finance transactions with most of the leading banks in Argentina. Among other transactions, he advised in the structuring of the Argentine Central Bank safety nets, which provided contingency funding in case of liquidity shortages in the local financial system. He has participated in several capital market transactions, including the issues of debt securities and IPO’s. He has a strong background in a variety of securitization and structure finance transactions. Mr. Lombardi has, as well, participated in a number of M&A transactions, primarily in the banking and financial sector. Moreover, he specializes in investment funds and asset management, and has also been involved in major conflicts.

He is member of FORES (Foro de Estudios sobre la Administración de Justicia), a highly prestigious non-profit organization whose mission is the improvement of justice administration in Argentina, the Bank Lawyers Committee of the Argentine Republic, and the International Bar Association (IBA). He also lectures in seminars related to his practice areas.
