Robert Crowe co-chairs Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP’s federal government relations team. He represents clients before federal, state, and local legislative, regulatory, and administrative agencies and works with clients to prepare and implement government relations strategies, introductions to public officials, and political and legal analysis.

He also has experience in real estate and corporate/securities matters. He has handled numerous private placements of debt and equity for corporate clients and led management labor representations for public and private sector clients. He has served as counsel for numerous real estate transactions totaling more than $50,000,000 and has won multimillion-dollar severance for senior executives.

He represents countries around the world, a major technology company in privacy matters and has represented large private equity firms in tax matters, a credit card company on Dodd-Frank issues, a major national bank on custody issues, and represents a major energy efficiency company.

Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP’s public policy team is mainly housed in Washington DC, but it also has a presence at state level in Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina and Massachusetts. Dennis Wicker and David Wilkins jointly lead the practice. Wilkins, former US ambassador to Canada who has a special focus on US-Canada relations, helped the Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers to obtain approval for the TransCanada’s KXL pipeline by the Trump administration, which was rejected under the previous administration. Robert Crowe lobbies on behalf of the government of Qatar, specifically advising on domestic trade missions, the blockade and charitable contributions in the US. Other clients include technology company Weedmaps, Korean company Hyosung and Newsmax Media.
