Steve McKelvey has experience in business counseling and litigation, with an emphasis on representation of automobile manufacturers, distributors, and automobile manufacturer trade associations. He regularly represents these entities in litigation matters throughout the country, including add points, relocations, terminations, licensing, vehicle allocations, warranty reimbursements, incentives, facilities, financing, and other manufacturer issues related to dealers and state/federal regulatory bodies

His experience also extends to heavy trucks, light commercial vehicles, motorcycles, and recreational vehicles. He represents captive and affiliated auto finance companies.

Over the past 21 years, Steve has advised clients and/or appeared on their behalf in matters in more than 30 states

Indeed, clients note in particular the team’s ‘expertise in automotive dealer and distribution law’. Mark Clouatre in Denver represented PACCAR in a dealership application dispute, and regularly acts for Fiat Chrysler Automobiles in disputes with dealerships and consumers. Columbia-based Keith Hutto, who handles franchise and distribution cases, is defending Nissan on a number of franchise and dealership cases.
