Nami Associates advises the project sponsors on fundraising for the development and construction of a 200 MW solar power project in Zahedan, Iran.

The client has been awarded a power purchase agreement by Iran’s Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Organization (aka, SATBA) to develop this strategic project in south east Iran, which is expected to cost approximately USD 100 million. Amid Iran’s ongoing electricity supply imbalance, the project is anticipated to play a critical role in addressing the country’s growing energy demand.

Our Corporate and Projects teams, led by Behnam Khatami and Sanaz Hosseini-Kolahi, provided legal support, including deal structuring, regulatory advisory, and the drafting and negotiation of the financing agreement. Following a successful closing, the parties are going to explore a potential joint venture arrangement to collaborate on the construction phase.

This engagement underscores the strength of Nami Associates, its sectoral knowledge and hands-on experience in delivering sophisticated legal solutions for complex infrastructure and energy projects in Iran.
